This dream all started after years of deliberations and research. The idea of setting up this organization started somewhere in May 2014 when Dr. Sulemana Abdulai visited Canada and had a talk with\u00a0 Ms. Salifu and a few other friends from Tamale regarding the need for more help to address youth unemployment issues in the North and Ghana as a whole.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-3175  alignleft\" src=\"https:\/\/acesd-ghana.org\/home\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/11\/acesd.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"345\" height=\"347\" srcset=\"https:\/\/acesd-ghana.org\/home\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/11\/acesd.jpg 298w, https:\/\/acesd-ghana.org\/home\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/11\/acesd-150x150.jpg 150w, https:\/\/acesd-ghana.org\/home\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/11\/acesd-100x100.jpg 100w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 345px) 100vw, 345px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Upon reflecting on this discussion, Ms. Salifu took it upon herself to research more into the areas in which she could be of help with her extensive experience in career and employment counseling and job development, which she gained from her studies and work in Canada for the past 15 years.<\/p>\n<p>In 2021, Ms. Salifu conducted a baseline survey in Accra and Tamale to determine if her area of expertise was going to be of help to new graduates and youth with their journey to securing sustainable employment and access to career guidance and employment counseling. The research findings confirmed that this area of intervention was crucial to serving disadvantaged youth and new graduates. Based on this Ms. Salifu, went ahead to register ACESD.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>In early 2022, the organization was registered and licensed to operate as a non-profit organization \u2013 being the first of its kind to operate as a one-stop service organization to operate a resource &amp; information center, provide one-on-one career &amp; employment counseling, and job matching &amp; placement services.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Our History Ms. Anda Salifu, who is a native of Tamale, founded ACESD in 2021.
